Clouds
This week we learned a lot about clouds in our science weather unit. We played a game where each student was given a picture of clouds and had to categorize it into "cirrus, cumulus, cumulonimbus or stratus" based only on the descriptive words in the story we read. They did a great job close reading with me! This coming week we will do a similar game but on the mimeo whiteboard! The children also enjoyed reading the book "It Looked Like Spilled Milk" by Charles G. Shaw with Mrs. Vittore's first grade class. This book made them think outside of the box when looking at clouds. They painted clouds and completed the writing, "It looked like a .... But it wasn't a .... It was a ......" We will have these projects displayed in our hallway for Open House on Thursday, Oct. 24. Hope you can make it!
