Lincolnshire Marriott Play

I was VERY bummed to miss the play, but I was excited to hear it was FANTASTIC and all had a great time.  Mrs. Lintner, a great friend of mine who was the substitute teacher, said the kids really enjoyed it.  Thank you also to Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Fuller for chaperoning on our trip.   Here are some pictures Mrs. Lintner sent me:

This week we will wrap up our Holiday Lights unit with Christmas.  We will make our "research" of Diwali, Hanukkah, Las Posados, Kwanzaa and Christmas into a book, including flags from countries that celebrate each holiday, and the book will come home on Friday.  We continue to work on our "Family Traditions" writing and are getting writing to do a neat technology presentation of that on our blog!  That will come in January, after vacation.  In math, we are working on time to the quarter hour, measuring with inches, counting money (dimes, nickels and penny combinations), and adding and subtracting concepts.

Coming up.... WE FILLED OUR FUZZY JAR AGAIN!!  WOO HOO!  We will have our celebration on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, but we have to vote on what that is, so look for an email on Wednesday to announce what was chosen.  Great job by all for increased efforts at demonstrating super student behavior!
